In the heart of the Pays de Montaigne and the Périgord Pourpre (1 hr from Bordeaux/Perigueux, 20 minutes from St Emilion and the Dordogne & Isle valleys), the Croquante de Gurson offers a perfect nest to explore the region. Its open garden, large relaxing green space and its terrace have a breathtaking view of our room of water "the Dryades Pond" where one can swim but also fish (studs and keepers) preferably in no-kill except for pike. Comfort, calm and voluptuousness at the RV The space With a surface area of 65 m², La Croquante was completely renovated in 2018. This is probably the oldest house of the place (late eighteenth century) and it was built from the stones of the Tower of Gurson by our ancestors farmers who thus estimated that the time of redistribution had come (hence the name of Crunchy). Its half-timbering and mud are from the age. Our friend Albertine patiently pasted everything in color straw to soften the wood and bring light. Above the living room, a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed is ideal for a couple. The small bedroom downstairs is ideal for one or two children. The vintage sink in the current bathroom has been preserved. The house, populated by niches, is furnished with antique furniture and we paid special attention to dishes : it is all pink to keep the bonbonnière effect! This authentic stone house with warm colors is perfect for lovers and families looking for green, calm and voluptuousness. Stunning views of the countryside that are available for hikes, of the Dryades pond for aperitifs on the pontoon, unless you prefer the well. Lake Gurson, suitable for supervised swimming, is less than 10 minutes' walk away. You will also find in the living room a nice selection of books and magazines, in French (National Geographic) and in English (Times, New Yorker). Guests will be able to connect to the Internet from the property's activity room.
