Casa Fior di Rosa is a bright and spacious 100 year old, 3 level, Tuscan Farmhouse, that has been lovingly renovated with a lot of attention to detail and is nestled in the green heart of Tuscany. It is surrounded by a nature reserve and faces a beautiful ever changing valley. It's the perfect place for those who love nature and want to get away from the city to unwind, relax, write, contemplate, enjoy good food, wildlife and the magical Tuscan light. The space We have 2 very large bedrooms; one on the 1st floor that sleeps 3 (1 queen bed and 1 single bed) and on the top floor there is one big suite that also sleeps 3 (1 queen bed and 1 single bed). We also have 2 pull out sofa beds, one in the living room on the the ground floor next to the kitchen and one in the living room on the 1st floor that also has a fireplace. All the windows have been enlarged to allow for more light as traditionally Tuscan homes had few windows and small ones at best. There are 2 bathrooms, one full bathroom on the 1st floor and one half bathroom on the ground floor next to the kitchen. The kitchen is on the ground floor and is the heart of our home. It has big windows above the sink and a big glass door that gives you a full view of the valley, plus french doors that open to a covered patio. It is a fully equipped kitchen with all the modern amenities you need but we’ve kept the rustic feel by preserving the original big wooden beams, terra cotta tiles and a nice wood stove for those cozy cooler evenings. On either side of the kitchen are two patios; one overlooking the valley with an outdoor barbecue, table and chairs and hammocks and on the other side facing the mountain there is a huge covered pergola for eating al fresco on those days when you want to be in the shade. We also have several cozy areas around the house where you can relax and listen to the birds. Guest access As a guest you will have access to the entire house and the 4 hectares of land surrounding the house. Other things to note The surrounding area is full of places to explore. There is something for everyone; from nature walks, horseback riding, cycling, wine tasting, great food to swimming in volcanic basin lakes or enjoying a coastline full of beaches. Monte Amiata is a nature lovers dream. It is a dormant volcano at 1738 meters high. In the summer there is plenty of hiking trails to explore, in the autumn it is bursting with chestnuts and mushrooms and in the winter there are 15 ski lifts to choose from as well as ski instructors and ski schools.
