It's a wonderful situation at the head of the beautiful Gatine valley. Ideal any season for walking, cycling or simply taking time out. In the winter months you’ll be cozy with the log burner - and there are heaters if you need extra warmth in a cold snap - just ask, we’re always nearby to help. Le Petit Toit is a lovingly restored gîte for two in the grounds of the 15th century La Charpenterie, St-Loup-Lamaire. The exposed stone wall in the spacious bedroom and the tiled floors, coupled with a beautiful antique bed and other original pieces, mean that the gîte retains its old-fashioned charm whilst the well-equipped modern kitchen area and stylish shower room provide every facility you might need for a relaxing holiday. Guest access The gîte has two patios and private barbecue area with views across local fields. You can be completely independent but don't forget to ask if there's anything we can help you with. Other things to note Keep the log stove ticking over to ensure the gîte is cozy in the depth of Winter (and we'll light it before you arrive if it's chilly). If you're not very familiar with log stoves, let us give you some tips when you arrive. More heaters are available if you need them. We include all the towels and bed linen in the price, so there are no hidden extras The rear opens onto a patio area where you can sip your early morning coffee as you plan your day or spend the evening stargazing over a glass of wine. ­ The night skies are wonderfully dark here and if walking’s your thing, head out of La Charpenterie onto miles of country lanes passing fields of sunflowers. If you're bringing a pet then the patios are completely fenced. We having cats and dogs of our own, though, so we know some can be skillful escape artists - you'll need to be responsible for your pet at all times. The dishwasher and washing machine are new additions to the kitchen - please ensure both are empty on your departure. You may want to bring additional washing tabs with you.
