The Old Forge (1)

The Old Forge is a fifteenth century Grade II listed house in the heart of historic Pembridge, on the Black & White Village Trail in Herefordshire. 1 minute walk to a highly recommended restaurant, two cafés, two pubs with food and a hairdresser & beauty salon. Also the 'Chapel Gallery' selling works of art and crafts. 15 miles from Hereford, 5 miles to Leominster and its abundance of antiques shops. The popular towns of Hay-On-Wye and Ludlow are also close by. The space Step back in time... In some parts of the house you might feel tipsy, without having touched a drop of alcohol! Some children who visited recently described it as 'a Harry Potter house'! Guest access There is a dining room exclusively for house guests, where a substantial Continental breakfast is available. Also a sitting area on the spacious landing. During your stay Very sociable but will allow you as much space as you need. It is entirely up to you! Available to help and offer advice as much as possible. Other things to note There are two adjacent bedrooms available on Airbnb, each with king size bed and ensuite bathroom. One (this one called 'Grouse') has a bath with hand-held shower, the other (called 'Duck') has a shower. No pets in the bedrooms. There is a dining room exclusively for house guests and a sitting area on the spacious landing. A substantial Continental breakfast is provided in the dining room. Local cafés provide cooked breakfasts. Tea and coffee facilities are available free of charge in the bedrooms. Anyone staying 4 nights or more can give me one load of washing but I provide you with the iron and ironing board! :) During warmer weather, a section of the garden with table and chairs is allocated to house guests. The annexe 'Little Forge' is available as a self-contained holiday let, minimum stay 5 nights. Bedroom, sitting room, kitchenette and shower room and private entrance. Small patio with seating outside. Well-behaved small to medium dogs (up to 20 kgs) are allowed in this part.
