Close to Bantham Beach, Bigbury-on-Sea, Salcombe and Kingsbridge, this fully-equipped high quality Shepherd Hut is set in a tranquil location with stunning views across to Dartmoor. Totally refitted for this season, as well as the private hot tub adjacent to The Hut, there is a large outdoor wooden gazebo, offering perfect places to enjoy sunsets or starry skies. The Hut is ideally situated in South Devon and offers a peaceful rural retreat with close proximity to many Devon beaches and towns. The space Uniquely situated to visit all the South Hams beaches, towns and villages, private and secluded but not remote. A 10 minute walk from The Hut up the lane will take you to the main road where you can catch a direct bus to Dartmouth along the stunning coast line passing through Slapton, Strete, Stoke Fleming and Blackpool Sands. At the top of this lane also is the Church House inn – a 13th century former monks’ house with a great selection of food and wines. Other dining options nearby include The Oyster Shack, The Sloop at Bantham, Britannia Shack at Beesands, The Crabshell in Kingsbridge as well as other excellent eating places in Salcombe and Dartmouth. The Hut has a fully made-up double bed with a pocket spring mattress and duck down quilt and pillows for a comfy and cosy night. The bed just folds up against the wall to reveal a generous living space with table and benches. A mini wet room in the Hut has fully plumbed “proper” toilet, wash basin and walk in shower. The well-equipped kitchen unit incorporates a 2 ring hob, combination oven, microwave and grill and sink, [as well as crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettle etc.]. The electric 'wood-burner' stove offers additional heat and cosiness if required in cooler months. Set in the corner of a large 5 acre plot The Hut is totally private and away from the owners’ accommodation. Ample parking [a short walk along a path] is provided as is a useful storage shed, (including fridge), next to The Hut to maximise your space inside. The Hut has it's own hot tub, which is perfectly situated to enjoy a tipple whilst enjoying spectacular views across open countryside to Dartmoor. As well as the hot tub, outside The Hut has plenty of space to unwind with lounger chairs and picnic table. Please note in very dry weather the BBQ is not available to use due to fire risk to surrounding land although with the Hut doors open you can cook inside and still have the alfresco experience. Please note no smoking is permitted in the Hut or in the grounds, to comply with insurance and arrangements with surrounding farmers. Unfortunately we are unable to accept children due to the nature of the accommodation and dogs due to agreements with local farmers. Additionally no smoking is permitted in the Shepherd hut or the grounds.
