Beautiful country farmhouse with heated pool

Luxury holiday home set in 2 acres of gardens in Charente Maritime, our cottage sleeps 8, has beautiful country views, private terrace & heated swimming pool. The space Come to Vacheroy to relax in the luxury, 10x5m in-ground heated swimming pool (heated May to September inclusive) take in the beautiful country views & become part of French way of life. In July & August local towns hold gastronomic evening markets where the streets are filled with locals & tourists alike. Sit out, drink in the atmosphere & dine on an array of local & exotic foods. Vacheroy is a beautiful character cottage, with a large beamed lounge with log burner, large flat screen TV with Sky free to air channels, a DVD player and a selection of DVDs, games & books. Above the lounge the is a romantic mezzanine double & "The Den", two attic rooms ideal for children. Downstairs also has a large fully equipped kitchen, a family bathroom & an ensuite king double and a twin room. As the upstairs Den rooms have low ceilings the cottage would be more suitable for a maximum of 4 adults & 4 children, although all the beds are full size. The Gite has a partly shaded private terrace area with seating, outside dining area & BBQ adjoining the fully equipped kitchen. In the garden there are childrens swings & a slide, a shaded vine covered seating area, table tennis, pool, games (boule, badminton & croquet) & of course, the fabulous pool & sunbathing deck. Enjoy the local markets, vineyards, country walks, lakes & restaurants right on our doorstep or venture a little further afield for historic cities, beaches, medieval villages, the great Bordeaux vineyards of St Emillion or the Chateaux of the Medoc. On the borders of Aquitaine & Charente Maritime, the area offers thousands of years of history for you to enjoy. Roman remains, walled villages of the Hundred Years War & religious wars & the centre of the wine trade between France & Britain, the wonderful UNESCO World Heritage 18th century city of Bordeaux itself. Guest access Vacheroy Gite is completely self contained & has a private rear garden. Guests also share the outdoor games area & 2 acre rear & front gardens. The pool is private and for your use only. Other things to note We have pets here, a Cavachon called Daisy and also have four loving cats, all rescued as kittens. Because of this we are unable to accept pets. Wood is available for the log burner at a supplementary cost of 60€ per week or 10€ per day. Vacheroy Gite is a no smoking property which includes both the house and gardens.
