ClockTower Cabin, Leith Hill Surrey

We offer for rent a comfortable, self catering, character cabin on Leith Hill, in the heart of the Surrey Hills. We welcome cyclists, walkers, bird watchers, or anyone who wishes to retreat here to enjoy our quiet and beautiful surroundings. The space The cabin used to be the grooms quarters and is integral within the old stable block which has all the traditional features from 1911. It is a space full of character and charm and provides a Queen size double bed plus a 6’ sofa that pulls out to provide two single beds. The beds are all in the same sleeping area and although it is pretty cosy with four adults staying, guests are more often out and about so this hasn’t been a big issue when value and location has been more important. It is perfect for a couple, and seems to work well for for a couple with two young children. There is a muddy shoe wash sink outside, washing machine and airer inside. For cyclists, we have a dedicated bike rack inside the secure stable. There is plenty of parking in our courtyard for our guests. Guest access Guests can stroll around the immediate courtyard and the garden up to the front entrance. There is a picnic table and chairs next to the orchard/meadow for guests to enjoy. Children often like to feed the chickens and everyone is advised to keep away from the bee hives which are tucked away anyway. There is a vegetable garden to look at too and when we have surplus seasonal vegetables these are often offered to our guests. Other things to note We stock a pantry of goodies to save guests shopping for food and drink and operate an honesty box system. Tea, coffee, and a simple breakfast of cereal/bread/croissants/butter/jam are complimentary.
