Within a short walk of historic Canterbury, in a quiet, calm, neighbourhood, this listing is ideal for longer or shorter stays. With its own parking, this is a private, carpeted, double room with a dedicated ensuite shower. The house is set back on the right side of the road. A comfortable, working, living, home, I ask guests to remove their shoes as the flooring is new. Use of the kitchen is for those staying a week or more by pre arrangement. Free Wifi, keysafe The space This spacious double room is light and airy with its own ensuite facilities and door lock. A homely room, whilst it benefits from city accessibility, the area is calm and quiet. My neighbours are multi cultural and friendly. Use of the kitchen for stays of a week or more by pre agreement. Any late check ins must be by agreement prior to booking Guest access For safeguarding, I no longer accept guests in the middle of the night without pre agreement. Guests enjoy their own allocated parking space at the front of the house with access to the garden and smoking area. Use of the kitchen is by pre arrangement for stays of a week or more. There is a range of chopping boards and wooden utensils for non stick pans, crockery and cutlery. Please do not dry clothes on the furniture or drip dry clothes in your bathroom. This leads to costly bills for repainting and racks are provided. Towels are air dried for energy conservation. The house is 15 minutes’ walk from the city centre. Please notify me if you have a bike so it can be left securely During your stay A sympathetic host, I’m available to you if you have any queries or concerns during daylight hours. Please be considerate about noise levels and switching off/on lights/taking showers/use of water, especially during these times of high energy prices. Other things to note There is a smoking area in the back garden with seating. Please dispose of any butts considerately. Whilst check in is flexible, please let me know before booking if your eta is likely to be after 10 pm. Use of the kitchen available to longer term guests by pre arrangement.. Racks and lines available for drying clothes. Please respect my furniture: do not dry clothes on the furniture, particularly the bed. Guests who drip dry clothes in the bathroom risk water damage in the kitchen. Cost of repainting the ceiling: £200 Guests are asked to dispose of rubbish including tissues and face masks. Please recycle according to Canterbury’s strict recycling policy: red is for paper, blue for plastic and glass, tins and bottles and grey for landfill bins. Please can you take off your shoes as you come in the house. Guests losing a key will be responsible for the cost of fitting a new lock and keys
