Croft cottage, 334 Kinnauld, refurbished in 2021 is situated in the heart of the Highlands, a 5 minute drive from A9 and North Coast 500 route. 50 miles north of the Highland capital Inverness and a 15-minute drive to Dornoch. The perfect stop for those interested in walking, cycling or wildlife. This quiet and tranquil cottage is surrounded by magnificent scenery and wide-open spaces. In Sutherland you can enjoy fantastic beaches, distilleries, castles, golf courses, and much more. The space The space The cottage has lovely views from all windows out over the glen. For train lovers, ScotRail’s Far North Line can be spotted from the cottage with the station 1 mile away. Downstairs boasts two living areas one with a log burner for cosy evenings, both with Smart TVs, bathroom with shower and kitchen/diner. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (a double and a twin) along with a small quiet space for working/reading. WiFi access available throughout cottage. Both bedrooms have two double electric sockets. There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, hob, grill, oven, fridge, table top freezer, crockery and utensils provided. Sit back and enjoy the wildlife including deer, birds of prey and the famous Rogart wild goats. Guest access "334 Kinnauld" is rented solely for guests use only, with a private outside garden space and ample car parking. Outdoor seating is available to use on the patio with stunning views across the valley. We also have fishing rights on our premises, get in touch with the hosts to arrange this. You will receive the key code a few days before arrival. Other things to note A small welcome pack will be added for your arrival. You will find the local village shop one mile away. Small supermarkets can be found in Golspie and Dornoch while Tain has a larger choice. The wood burner in the main living area will have kindling and logs for evenings. Linen is provided including towels, bedding and kitchen cloths. A selection of books, jigsaws and games are available. Strictly no pets. We request a no smoking policy in the house.
