The space At the gates of Orléans and Chambord, the Domaine du Gué du Roi is a vestige of a small 18th century castle, unfortunately no longer standing, which we bought in 2011 and patiently renovated to make it a happy home for our family and our guests. In the one-hectare park surrounded by centuries-old walls, we have transformed the barn and the dovecote into two gîtes and the chapel into two guest rooms, and installed a wooden trailer. At the same time, we revived the adjoining farm, the Ferme du Petit Gué du Roi, by creating a horse and donkey farm on a dozen hectares. Ideally located on the Châteaux de la Loire route, 1.5 hours southwest of Paris with direct access to the A10 and A71 highways, and at the crossroads of the major hiking trails, we are now happy to welcome all tourists looking for an unusual and bucolic break that respects its environment, as well as the riders of the European Route D'Artagnan, the cyclists of the Loire à Vélo and the walkers of St Jacques de Compostelle.  Once upon a time there was a trailer... ideal for nature lovers.
