Little Birches (NI Tourism approved) is a self contained, fully private annexe to a georgian countryside home near the shores of Lough Neagh. Located in a beautiful, rural and peaceful location and only a 5mins drive from Belfast International Airport. The spacious separate annexe/apt is @40mins by car from Belfast and the North Antrim coast with its many attractions can be reached in under an hour. Perfect for couples or for the business traveller and not suitable for children or infants. The space Set in an acre of private landscaped gardens Little Birches is attached to our Georgian Country home but is a completely private self contained one level apartment/annexe. Whilst it is an annexe to the main house it benefits from its own private entrance, private hallway and separate car parking space. Therefore guests can come and go as they wish and the space is an ideal base for tourists exploring Northern Ireland, for airport stop overs and also for business travellers. A car is essential for stays at Little Birches - however contact us to discuss any queries. Ideal for couples seeking a rural escape we don’t accept bookings for children or infants. The substantial living area has a dual aspect lounge and dining area and is very bright and welcoming. The whole space has been newly decorated with farrow and ball paints, herringbone sisal carpet and luxury roman blinds. With underfloor heating throughout the space is warm and toasty in the winter months. The double bedroom has a pleasant outlook onto the garden and comes equipped with fully fitted wardrobes providing substantial storage. The internal entrance hallway cupboard provides suitable storage for coats, shoes and luggage. The furnishings are all brand new and to a very high standard and the shower room is fully tiled with porcelain and marble tiling. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, cooker with ceramic hob and microwave, toaster etc. Wifi is present in the main house with the signal being 'medium/strong' in the annexe. The TV is equipped with an Amazon Firestick and free apps are loaded such as iplayer, UTV hub, All 4, My5, Sky news, Free movies, Amazon music, etc etc. If you have a netflix or amazon prime membership you can sign into your account by following the onscreen instructions. You can also switch the TV to freeview channels via the other remote. The private entrance hall is spacious and allows guests to store luggage or other items. There are both main door keys to the entrance hall and internal door keys provided to add to the sense of privacy throughout. A small seating area/bench is also provided to the front of the annexe just beside the private parking bay to enjoy that glass of wine in the warmer summer months. There are border collie dogs living in the main house - one mum and 3 pups - they are extremely friendly if a little excitable at times and will often bark at anything or anyone new. Most of our guests love to meet the dogs but we try to keep them to their area of the house as best we can! Guest access Guests have the use of the whole apartment/annexe space with lounge/dining area, separate kitchen, double bedroom, shower room and separate entrance door and hallways. Guests also have use of their own private parking space beside the entrance door and outdoor seating area. Other things to note Check in ideally between 4pm-10pm and check out is 10am but we can sometimes be a little bit flexible via direct contact. Note again that we have border collies in the main house and they can sometimes be out in the garden area. We do our best to keep them inside when we can when guests are coming and going but it’s their home so we like you to be aware of their potential presence or desire to say hello to you. We only accept bookings for 1-2 adults and cannot accept booking requests for infants or children.
