Description
Gallop View Stables is in a stunning location - set deep in the countryside but just a 10 minute drive to the bustling centre of Bristol. It is perfect for everything; a quiet retreat with just birdsong for company, or a base for exploring one of Britain's coolest cities! The lodge is upside down layout, comprising three bedrooms downstairs and an open living space upstairs. One bedroom has double bunk beds. My love of quirky antique furniture shows throughout the space. The space I’ve owned Gallop view for almost 14 years. I designed and built it almost from scratch. It has been a true labour of love. I now want everyone else to enjoy it... Upstairs there is an open plan kitchen/lounge with a dining table that seats eight, and a super-comfy sofa for everyone to relax in. There is a full kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher. The views of Failand and across the channel to Wales are breath-taking, and you can watch the stable animals from a seat in the window. Downstairs can be found the bedrooms, and a bathroom with luxurious shower. Each bedroom is cosy and quiet and the bedding is crisp cotton with hyper-allergenic sheep's wool duvet and pillows that offer real luxury. Outside, the garden is natural and offers privacy from the rest of the yard. There is a table with seating for eight and two platforms with beanbags to help you enjoy the stunning views across the fields. During good weather, there are four loungers so you can soak up the sun in peace. As Gallop View is a working stable there is always something to watch - the horses being put through their paces, or the chickens hunting for food; not to mention visits from Purra the cat. I’m happy to introduce you to all my lovely animals, but please all I ask is that when I’m not there you don’t go into the field/stable with them. I just want to keep everyone safe.. Access is via an electric gate, code will be given after booking. There is a second gate that I lock each evening. There is a key safe to the lodge, which keeps flexibility when arriving. The lodge has an alarm, again the code will be sent after booking. Guest access You will have the whole lodge to yourself, but there is no access to the rest of the stables Other things to note The price is for four people - if you would like to bring more guests up to a total of 8 people, the additional charge is £30 per person.
