Description
Quirky, peaceful and secluded - just you, nature, and your favourite tunes at the tiki bar. This 1978 Airstream is fully re-built by your hosts in a private 1/2 acre glade with a stream running through, wood-fired hot tub, outdoor chill zones: tiki bar, fire pit with hammocks and covered deck. All exclusive use. This one-of-a-kind Airstream conversion is bright, quirky & cozy with wood stove, king bed, sofa bed, plumbed wetroom, full kitchen + even doorbell! Retro made perfect. The space After parking up, you’ll enter a woodland path through the floral arch, then cross over a small footbridge into the secret glade. The site is a 1/2 acre clearing with a lawn ringed by mature trees. You can enjoy a morning coffee at the waterside seating area, or at the campfire spot with its hanging hammock chairs, and nap later on in the tree hammock. The Airstream also has a huge covered deck providing a space to enjoy the view whatever the weather. The romantic wood-burning hot tub is ringed with warm festoon lights all round creating a magical feeling at night. And the centrepiece - at the top of the hill, you’ll be cosy in the tiny house! The interior is surprisingly open and bright, with distinct bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room zones. A few genuine 1970s bits and bobs interspersed amongst modern design elements adds to the charm. It’s a space designed for fun and relaxation. Guest access Park in our farm car park in the dedicated 'guests' spot. Generally guests want to stay in the glamping site and that works for us too, feel free to explore the woods on the other side of the bridge though if you like. Galston is a 25 minute walk away or less if you're a fast walker! You can take the scenic route over the dyke just next to our farm. To do that, walk up the driveway to where the fenced woodland ends and simply go right . Or you can walk along the road towards Loudoun Castle and turn right on the A719. Other things to note - This is self-catering so we’re happy to let you get on with you stay and enjoy your privacy -The Airstream is super quirky and its makeover means it’s doing things Airstreams were never designed to do, so please join us in taking good care of this 40+ year-old beauty during your stay -firewood included based on reasonable use - If you need a fire-making tutorial don’t be embarrassed just ask! We want you to be able to make the most out of your stay - Bring slippers to really feel at home - Bring wellies for walks, and flipflops & bathrobe for hot tub -Try one the walking paths that run past the farm to get a feel for this rural and historical area. -Wetroom bathroom is most enjoyable if you use the squeegee provided to wick any excess water off toilet and floor into drain, after a shower -Nothing but loo roll and the two P’s in the toilet please, ie: no feminine products as they block the eco-friendly sewage processor -1/2 dozen boxes of eggs from our own free-range hens are seasonally available upon request for £2 and yes they’re incredible. Not available in winter. -Smoking is fine anywhere but inside the Airstream
