Lakefront Garden Apartment ~ Direct Water Access

Registration number CIR:013203-CNI-00016 The space Appartamento Stella is set on the ground floor of an historic building (once a monastery) with entry via an imposing wooden door, and across a small courtyard with entry to the apartment on the ground floor via the bedroom. Situated by the lake, the home is in a secluded position away from the main road, near the village beach, and ideal for a couple or a family, or a group of friends. The small kitchen/dining/sitting room opens to the rear garden by the lake ideal for alfresco dining or relaxing. From here an iron ladder offers access to the lake and a small lakeside jetty (see House Rules). The large bedroom is located at the rear of the apartment. A feature is the wooden boat suspended from the ceiling evoking images of the past when this room was used for boat storage and repairs for the property as a whole, when it was a monastery... the stone tracks that were utilised to bring boats to the water are still visible in the lawn outside. A modern kitchen includes a 4-burner cook-top, microwave, and a small fridge. Along the passage way a modern bathroom features glassed shower enclosure, toilet, and handbasin. Free wi-fi is included in the apartment. The secluded garden offers views of the lake and across to Lezzeno, and to the right over the village beach with swimming area set into the lake, with the lake-ferry pontile along the ‘Lungo Lago’ walkway beyond, adjacent to Taverna Bleu (ferry tickets from Sala are available onboard). Guest access The village of ‘Sala’ enjoys a unique micro-climate protected by Lake Como’s only island with ambiance for year-round relaxation and sightseeing convenience. The sites of Lake Como can be reached by regular seasonal ferry service, C110 bus, or water taxi, making a car unnecessary. Other things to note General food items including fresh bread, meats and smallgoods, twice weekly vegetable van, wine, beer, soft drinks, bottled water, and ice creams, etc are all conveniently available in the village of Sala.
