Cnewr Farmhouse is a large, spacious house sleeping 16 on a working hill farm in the Brecon Beacons in an easily accessed, beautiful, rural location. It is great for families (with or without kids) and groups of friends. Hill and reservoir walks are accessible straight out of the garden. We welcome well behaved dogs. Bookings run from Fri to Fri - though we will do three night weekends out of school hols (price from £1,250 to £1,600). The space Sympathetically refurbished to a high standard, Cnewr Farmhouse forms part of a courtyard of Grade 2 listed farm buildings built approximately 200 years ago. With views to the Black Mountain and the Carmarthen Fans - Cnewr is an ideal location to explore the hills, valleys and towns and villages of the Brecon Beacons Forest Fawr GeoPark and the National Park. A great base for activity breaks and get-togethers with family and friends. Guest access The property has four double bedrooms, one double or twin bedroom (let us know how you want it made up) and two twin bedrooms with two bathrooms with bath, over bath shower and loo, three shower rooms with loo and two separate loos. There are lots of communal areas downstairs - a large sitting room with woodburner, a dining room, a games/tv room, a snug with woodburner and tv and a large kitchen diner with an Aga. The spacious kitchen has a three oven Aga, American fridge freezer, separate electric hob and oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, dishwasher in addition to all the usual kitchen equipment - and enough crockery, glassware and cutlery for everyone. The cosy snug adjoins the kitchen - ideal for children to be close by. It has comfortable seating, a wood burner and tv/dvd player. The large, comfortable sitting room sits everyone and has a supply of books and board games with a cd player/wireless speaker. The traditional flagstone floor is covered by a warm rug and the room is additionally heated by a woodburner. The dining room sits 12-14 and is ideal for a formal dinner and you can then relax in the games room which has a pool table and TV with Wii u - it also has a sofa bed to sleep two people. There is a downstairs cloakroom with large walk in shower and loo. Upstairs the bedrooms are set out across the property with plenty of bathrooms and shower rooms. All bedrooms have plenty of space to pack clothes away, bedside tables and lamps/reading lights. There is an upstairs utility room for guest laundry with washing machine and drying machine. The property has its own biomass boiler and a hydro scheme - meaning that the property provides all its own hot water and electricity - as well as having its own spring. We aim for a zero carbon footprint. There is immediate access from the house onto the 12,500 acre Estate - with small streams, reservoir fishing, walking and mountain biking on the hill roads. Other things to note The property is on a working farm. We welcome a maximum of two well behaved dogs which we ask are restricted to the kitchen, boot room and porch - additional charge of £20 per dog.
