Authentic "Blue Room" in a historical French Home

The Blue Room is one of the original rooms of this magnificent house. It retains its original terracotta floors, a stone fire place and original plaster decoration. A large bathroom is at canopy level and has a bath, separate shower and "his" and "hers" sinks. A toilet is en-suite. A day bed, table, and a sofa provide plenty of space for relaxing and lounging around. Featured in decor magazines, lifestyle websites, or for those visiting for the first time too; it remains a firm favourite. The space Located less than 10 minutes drive from Uzès in a charming French hamlet, the home is an impressive construction with its foundation in the medieval times. It is surrounded by olive, oak groves and vineyards. There is plenty of "garrigues" too, where wildlife such as deers, fox and boars are frequently seen. The home contains authentic, period rooms with original floors and details. The stay always includes breakfast, much of which is organic. French breads, croissant and pain au chocolat, home-made cakes, juice, milk, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, yoghurt and cereals served with fresh French-press coffee or a selection of teas. The room also has access to a first floor, open patio where swallows nest throughout the summer. Two lazy areas provide for inviting nooks to read, sip on some wine or sit with friends while the swallows busily build their nest just above you! Downstairs, a stylish and original salon provides for a living space filled with good books (each one read and selected by us), photo or coffee table books on style, travel or wildlife. Original works of art and photography, sculptures and unique furniture adorns the rooms. A dining room with a cupboard of wine glasses, plates, cutlery and other small necessities is available for those wanting to have a quiet meal in the garden. A small fridge is shared between three bedrooms. A microwave is also available. The dining room gives onto the garden with a communal table under vine, where grapes hang in August. Traditional Anduze pots with citrus shrubs, lavender and rose shrubs enliven the garden. A swimming pool and sun beds are available for guest use.
