Casa 1876 - Mediterranean lifestyle at its best

Our house is unique. Ancient and contemporary, it has been renovated by an architect in 2018. It invites you to an out of time happiness in the never ended summer of Algarve, surrounded by olive trees and a beautiful sea view in the distance. 13 m long pool, daybeds, outdoor kitchen, plancha, play room, AC... The house is charming and comfy. It is made for family and friends joy ! A unique mediterranean dream, 20 min away from Algarve's airport and stunning beaches. The space Our house offers a modern and comfy expérience, in an authentic atmosphere. It is fully equipped with quality air conditioning. Everything is included : final cleaning, in-between cleaning if you stay more than 5 days, linen, towels, beach towels... The house is carefully equipped : > good WiFi in and outdoor > New beds, extra soft Egyptian cotton linen, fluffy towels, beach towels > fully equipped kitchen with inductive cooktop, traditional and microwave oven, dishwasher, Smeg fridge, Smeg electric kettle and toaster, Nespresso coffee maker, electric juicer, Smeg mixer, plunging mixer > outdoor kitchen with sink, fridge, cooking table and gas plancha > washing machine and dryer, laundry drying rack > daybeds, deck chairs, garden furniture, several couches, football table, games (chess, monopoly, cluedo...), puzzle, toys and french and Portuguese books. > we can provide whatever is needed for a small guest : baby cot, high chair, changing pad, Babybjörn bouncer, baby baths. The house also kept its genuine charm : traditional Algarvian fireplace, pizza oven (we provide wood and ustensiles), garden terrace... We want to make you love this house and this environnement as much as we do : it is unique. Henrique is from São Brás, and I’m a museum curator. Our choices while renovating the house reflects this blend of sensibilities. We tried to understand and respect the authenticity of our house and neighbourhood and we gave priority to local options. We also intend to promote a modern design, inspired by rural Algarvian culture. This is why you will find cork, palm weaves handicraft, contemporary made in Portugal pottery, plaids or dishes, as well as old tools from the pleasant farm that Casa 1876 used to be. Sustainability means for us living the real Algarvian experience, an authentic and joyful interaction with people, culture and environnement. We still collect our olives and bring it to the cooperative to get the oil you will taste. Timeless field work that reminds us the value of preserving our environnement. We can offer extra services such as massage service, private chef, family photoshoot, etc. Guest access You have access to the whole house, the pool and its large garden. Other things to note The pool is not heated : we are doing our best to reduce our environmental impact. In case you travel with toddlers or kids who can't swim, we can secure the pool.
