Duckling’s Rest - a charming house near the beach

Duckling’s Rest is a charming 2 bed house. It has a fresh, modern feel and is located just one road from Southwold’s beautiful beach. The high street is a short walk away and has plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to choose from. The house is in a quiet location and has the added advantage of a spacious courtyard garden to enjoy the sunshine or eat outdoors plus a summerhouse playroom. The space The house has been recently decorated and has a contemporary, relaxed feel. Beds will be made up for your arrival and towels are provided (please bring beach towels). The house is available to rent for stays of 7 nights (Saturday to Saturday). Outside of school holidays we may be able to accommodate shorter stays - please do message if you would like to request specific dates. If you are travelling as a family the space will be ideal. A travel cot, stair gates and a high chair are available plus children’s cutlery and plates / bowls are provided. This is a self catering property. We do not allow smoking in the house. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate pets. Guest access The house sleeps up to 5 in two bright, airy bedrooms - one with a kingside bed and one with a single bed plus a set of bunk beds. A modern bathroom is also located upstairs. Downstairs you will find a lounge with bay window, a shower room and a large kitchen/diner/family room which leads onto the garden. The garden has a table and chairs for outdoor dining. In 2020 the summerhouse has been renovated to create a children’s playroom with a selection of children’s games, books, toys and consoles. You are welcome to use these during your stay.
