Description

The space "Villa Norah" takes its name from my daughter, a very young musician. You can find her videos on Youtube by searching (NorahWantonMusic). It is a 70 m2 house situated in Scopello, a charming beach village about 10 miles from Castellammare del Golfo. The house is located in a private village with access to three beautiful beaches, just 300 metres away. There are two bedrooms and a sofa bed that can accommodate 5 people, two independent bathrooms with showers and a fully equipped kitchen. The house has all appliances, two air conditioners, satellite TV, two balconies (one with barbecue area), garden furniture and deckchairs, garden (with external shower) and private parking. It is 3 miles from the Zingaro nature reserve and it is approximately half and hour by car from San Vito Lo Capo and Erice. It is included in a green oasis of relaxation. It is also ideal for families with children. Trapani's airport is 60 km away and Palermo's (email hidden). If you do not wish to rent a car, or you do not come with your own mean of transport, we could also pick you up from Trapani or Palermo airport with an extra supplement. This part of the Sicilian coastline, though dotted with villas and a few seaside developments, is nevertheless unusually well-conserved. There are attractive stretches of rocky coastline and green hillside nearby. Scopello itself is on a plateau some way above sea-level, though within 10 minutes walking distance of the shore below. The settlement consists of a historic baglio, the "Baglio Isonzo", and a couple of attractive little lanes only a few yards long. There are cafe tables, a ceramics/souvenir shop, and a choice of places to buy food, drink and ice creams. Outside the Baglio Isonzo there is a picturesque water fountain with a trough, and around the corner there are a couple of pretty little lanes, where you'll also find a couple more restaurants. Summer boat excursions from San Vito Lo Capo and Castellammare del Golfo generally stop at Scopello, though only for a view of the Faraglioni and Tonnara, and a swim from the boat. You can also hire boats in both seaside resorts, if you're feeling adventurous and want to make your own way to the cove by sea. If you love the seaside, it's like being in Paradise! Happy holiday!
