The Perched House

A small, warm wooden architect's house for two people with its own private garden. It is in an orchard in the middle of fruit trees in peace and quiet. Located on a hillside, it is a balcony on the Burgundy countryside, in the Tonnerrois near Chablis and at the gates of Champagne. I live next door, I am very available for advice, suggestions. A sky often fabulous for astronomy lovers. The space SOME BLOCKED DATES CAN BE UNBLOCKED UPON REQUEST WARNING I undertake to respect human dignity and therefore not to discriminate against anyone (Discrimination Act 2008-496) In early 2015, I asked my son Arthur and his friend Fostine, who were the two in the second year of architecture school, to make me a project for a small house that would be located high up in the orchard of our property. The next summer, we ourselves, Arthur, Fostine and I built this beautiful little wood-frame house. A few brave and motivated friends helped us from time to time. Thanks to Guy and Laurence for their valuable advice, thank you to Patrice, Emmanuel who helped us a lot, Matthieu and Basile for their help and energy and a big thank you to Frank for everything he did and everything he put at our disposal to work in optimal conditions. It was an extraordinary adventure and family achievement. This is a very well-equipped house of 25 m2, surrounded by 25 m2 of terrace. It has its private garden. No pets allowed. Burgundy market on Sunday morning -Theamazing Maulnes Castle - Fontenay Abbey - Les Forges de Buffon - Château d 'Ancy le Franc, de Tanlay - Thunder and its Dionne Fosse - Noyers sur Serein. Small medieval city - Châtillon sur Seine (Vase de Vix) - National Park of Forests, Châtillon sur Seine - Flavigny sur Ozerain - Vezelay -Semur in Auxois - the Canal de Bourgogne is 7 km away. Beautiful walks or bike rides to do there. Bike rental not far away. Possibility to do a nice bike ride on the canal and get back by train by putting the bike in it. - Shops 10km away. - Local cheese producers, dairy products 4 km away.
