On the eastern slopes of Mongibello, as the Arabs called Etna, they nest among the black lava rocks evocative villages. Milo is one of them. An ancient town, rich in history and tradition. Summer residence of John of Aragon, brother of King Peter II, John used to spend part of the summer season in this place and loved it so much that he built a small church in 1340, consecrating the small village to Saint Andrew the Apostle.
