Osmond Cottage dates back to 1895 and is located in the historic village of Darnick, a 15 minute walk to Melrose where there are some lovely independent shops & pubs/restaurants serving quality local & seasonally sourced food. It has it's own parking bay and garage adjacent to the cottage. For colder nights there is a stove to keep the cottage cosy (firewood supplied). Osmond Cottage is pefectly located to explore the beautiful Scottish Borders by foot, bicyle, car or take train to Edinburgh The space A quaint old cottage tastefully brought back to life! Stairs are steep and may be a problem for less mobile and young guests. The property has one good sized double room, a small single room, toilet and shower, living room and fully equipped kitchen. There is a parking bay to the left and adjacent to the cottage. Guests can relax in the private, secure garden after a day of exploring with a glass of wine or coffee! (NB. Garden is located directly opposite front door across lane only a few metres away) Guest access There is a parking bay to the left and adjacent to the cottage. A short walk will take you to Melrose where there are plenty of places to eat, drink, take-aways, a good sized co-op, spar shop, pharmacy and some lovely independent shops. For larger supermarkets and chain shops, then a 10 minute drive to Galashiels is required. Other things to note Property not suitable for less mobile guests due to stairs. Stair gate available on request.
