Our beautiful country house is located between 2 quiet Cretan villages, nestled in olive and wine fields at the foot of the famous Jouchta mountain far away from the mass tourism of Crete and yet only 9 km inland from the center of the capital Heraklion. You will be 20min away from the closest beaches (Ammoudara, Amnissos, Pantanassa) and you will find traditional villages, restaurants, hiking routes and archaeological places close to the house (Knossos, Archanes). The space You can sit wonderfully in the house in the cooler season, e.g. in the evening in front of the open fireplace, as well as relax in the garden and stay on one of the verands on the ground floor or upstairs, depending on the weather conditions and taste. There you have a spectacular view of the hilly mountainous landscape and its surrounding villages, or you can hold a nap in one of the hammocks in the garden under trees and let yourself be lulled in the summer by the chirping of the cicadas. If you feel like a walk or a small hike, you can visit the 2 villages well on foot, one village across the road and the other in the back of the garden through nature (recommended if you have small children, as there are no vehicles on this way). We are happy to give you tips and hints at any time if you need information. Our house is characterized by two nationalities: German and Greek. We have put a lot of emphasis on making it both comfortable and cozy. If it gets too hot outside in midsummer in the noon hours or cool in the evening sun in autumn, you can feel good inside the house and relax. The institution offers everything one might expect from a modern European budget. Via satellite you can receive all German and many foreign TV programs, should you feel like watching TV. Other things to note We would like to note that the check out/in hours (10/12) are indicative.
