Beautiful barn conversion in quiet rural location

Dolifor Barn is a 230 year old stone building, full of character, located in the Elan Valley. It’s elevated location has direct views over the Elan River and is only a 10 minute walk from the confluence of the Elan & Upper Wye rivers. The hosts live on the upper part of the barn and your accommodation is located on the ground floor. The flat is totally self contained. A complimentary WELCOME PACK with ‘goodies’ is included in the price. The space The Barn has recently been renovated but many of the original features have been kept to give our guests a real feel of the history of the place. The kitchen and dining area include a microwave, fridge and dishwasher as well as an oven and electric hob. The lounge has a sofa, a TV and a Bluetooth DAB Radio. For those with bicycles or walking equipment, extra storage is available in the adjacent, un-refurbished part of the barn. The flat doesn’t have its own washing machine but guests are welcomed to use ours but will need to be arranged at the time for access to the utility room located on the ground floor of the barn. Please note that the small double bed is an antique bed higher than the usual modern beds. Guest access The inside space is self contained. A seating area is available at the front of the barn as well as in the back garden. Please be aware that our dogs also use the back garden. They are gentle dogs but will bark at you until they know you. Just be extra careful if with young children. Other things to note We provide maps to help you explore the area and an information pack with details of where to eat and shop. You can walk from the barn to Rhayader in about 40 mins or to the Elan Valley Visitor Centre in about 40 mins also ( or less if you prefer to run!).
