Nestled in the tiny hamlet of Broughton Beck just 40 minutes to the centre of the Lake District, the Stable is a peaceful retreat away from the crowds and is a perfect base to explore the Southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay Peninsulas. Situated on the lower ground floor of a traditional 200 year old Cumbrian Bank Barn the Stable has charm and character yet modern day comforts. Nearby Ulverston, has regular festivals and many independent shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. The space The property is ideal for walkers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts with a bike shed, large walk-in shower and access to a drying room. The outside patio catches the sun in the evening - perfect for enjoying a drink after a long days adventure! Coniston, Windermere, Grizedale and the west coast are all within easy reach – why not watch a Morecambe bay sunset from one of the many beaches nearby? Guest access There is a steep lane and steps to the front door. This is one of two self contained apartments in a large Cumbrian Bank Barn. Other things to note There is no mobile signal in the village. WiFi calling is needed on your phone to make calls. Nearest public transport is in Ulverston, 2.5 miles There is no secure outdoor space for service animals although there are footpaths on the doorstep.
