Family suite located on the 1st floor of the house, consisting of a large 25 m2 bedroom with 1 king size bed for the first 2 guests and a 14 m2 mezzanine area with 1 queen size bed for 2 additional people. A second independent 20 m2 bedroom is available to accommodate the 5th and 6th guests. A large 10 m2 shower room with an XXL shower is shared. These rooms have garden views. The space Located at the exit of the village of Saint-Savinien, in the heart of Romanesque Saintonge, labeled 'Village of Stones and Water', La Burie is a master house from 1860. Character house bought 'in its original state' in 2002, renovated with patience and passion, currently offering all modern comforts. In 2020, this family home was transformed into a guest house, accommodating up to 10 people. On the first floor, a family suite with 2 independent bedrooms and a mezzanine bed, accommodating up to 6 people (family, friends), sharing the same shower room and the same toilet. These rooms have retained the character of the old and are furnished and decorated with family furniture, antique and contemporary. On the second floor, a large attic was transformed in 2021 into a real apartment comprising 2 double suites and a common relaxation area for the 2 bedrooms. All in a contemporary spirit, embellished with antique furniture and decorative accessories. Guest access On the ground floor of the house, a large dining/living room is specially dedicated to guests. This 35 m2 room consists of a living room area occupied by 2 large sofas, a coffee table and a dining area where guests will have breakfast around a large antique farmhouse table. Access to the garden at the front of the house or in the private courtyard at the rear of the house is completely free. It's possible to have breakfast there in good weather. To relax, deckchairs, chaise lounges, hammocks are available. Tables and chairs are also scattered throughout the property. During your stay Guests are welcomed by the hostess. They are free to move around in the spaces reserved for them; on the ground floor, guests can enjoy the common living/dining room (with an area of 35 m2) overlooking the backyard and front yard; on the first floor, a first double bedroom with its large shower room area. The toilet is on the common landing. A second double bedroom is available for families or groups of friends. The shower room is then shared with the first bedroom. on the second floor, two new bedrooms are being built and should be ready for summer 2021. The garden and backyard are also available for guests to use. These outdoor areas may be shared with others, as well as with the hosts. Other things to note Breakfast is included in the room price. It is served between 7:30am and 10:00am in the dining room located on the ground floor. It can be served outdoors if desired and weather permitting. It consists of fresh-squeezed fruit juice, seasonal and organic fruit salad if possible, bread and a pain au chocolat or croissant from the village bakery and fresh in the morning, homemade jam with untreated fruit from the garden, cereals and organic or homemade yogurt, cheese. Tea or coffee or milk in a hot drink. Cats are present in the property (Of course, not in the areas reserved for guests). Pets aren't allowed due to the presence of cats on the premises. The house is entirely non-smoking. The property is not suitable for children from 2 to 12 years old.
