More than a place we propose a local EXPERIENCE in a special home and district. GRAÇA GENUINE NEIGHBORHOOD "Maria" Apartment is located at Graça old district, the most charming Lisbon neighborhood, a mix of liviness and authenticity. Safe, central and beautiful! You will be impressed with the lively local atmosphere, and all the things to do around (we provide a the long List of Information about Graça and Lisbon). Graça, located at the top of the hill, is known for amazing Viewpoints, little colorful Tiled Houses, ancient Palaces, Worker`s Villages, Street Art, Yellow 28 Tram, National Pantheon, São Vicente Monastery, and the famous Flea Market. TRADITIONAL 2- BEDROOM APART. "Maria" is a tiny well equipped apart. (40m2), fully renovated in 2015, a TRIBUTE to our Granny Maria. Has 2 Bedrooms with windows, and a cute typical balcony with view over the street. The apart. is located on the 1rst floor ( 1 staircase to climb) in the heart of Graça, in a little street, where you can EXPERIENCE the daily life and warm welcoming of the neighborhood. On Tuesday and Saturday we find the famous FLEA MARKET, the place where our parents worked since 1975. Just imagine yourself at the little balcony enjoying the local ambience! Take a "Bica" (short portuguese café) or a " Mini" Sagres beer, seat on the doorsteps, and chat with the neighbors. Luckly you can also hear some classical music from "Verónica" little Church, just in front of the apartment. A few steps from the apartment we find the garden "Jardim Botto Machado", with amazing view over Tejo River and the a little Café where you can read that special book. The garden has fitness outdoor equipment and a little playground. LOCATION You can walk every where from "Maria" Apartment. Close to many different spots in Graça, Alfama, Castelo and Mouraria old neigborhoods. 20 minutes walking from the city Center. Public transports are quite accessible: 5 minutes to the little bus that drives you to Santa Apolónia Train station, and also to the city center. 5 minutes to the famous 28 Yellow Tram wich route goes through the city center, stopping close to many Lisbon´s attractions. From the apartment we can easily get to “LARGO DA GRAÇA” central square with local restaurants, cafés, bars, pharmacies, bank, dentist, small shops, and supermarkets: Continente Bom Dia, and Pingo Doce.
