A recently restored two-floor apartment in a historical building, notified and protected by the Ministry of Historical Arts. Conveniently located half-way between Siena and Florence, the apartment is an example of Tuscan country-style. The space The apartment is a typical example of Tuscan style, with high ceilings in the lower floor (up to 7 mt) and decorated with antique 'cotto' tiles and hand-painted 'majolicas'. A magnificent fireplace dominates the spacious living room. Fully furnished with antiques, you will taste a 'piece of history'. The upper floor is furnished with more modern furniture, always matching the Tuscan country-style. It can accomodate 4 people in two separate bedrooms. An additional sofa bed is available in the living room upon request. Colle di val d'Elsa has kept is "middle age" appearance. Conveniently located half-way from Siena and Florence, is very close to beautiful places as Monteriggioni, where the and San Gimignano. The Chianti area is just fine minutes away. The Chianti area is just fine minutes away, with its incredible landscapes. There are buses and taxis for getting around, if you don't have a car. Guest access The apartment is located in the beautiful village of Colle di Val d'Elsa, famous for hand-made crystal production (the biggest Italian factory and its outlet store are only 2' from the apartment). This village has kept the beauty and the taste of a 'middle age' village, with the beautiful historical centre and the tower of the 11th century. The apartment is located 2' walk from the main square. Other things to note If you wish to taste a bit of Tuscan history but stay away from the crowd this is the perfect place to stay.
