Charming and Cozy House in Florence
Description
It is a typical Florentine detached house with access from a courtyard: the living area is on the ground floor while the two bedrooms are on the first floor. The location is strategic! Very well connected with the new tram that stops around the corner and links with the train station and the center in less than 10 minutes. Very convenient for those traveling by car too: easy to reach and with free public parking (!) And for those who prefer to walk, Porta San Frediano is less than 2 km away. The space THE HOUSE - It is a typical Florentine detached house dating from the 14th century, which is located within a large and quiet courtyard. It is called "la casa dell' Albero" ("The house of the tree") from an emblem of arms on the house that was once part of a villa of a noble Florentine family The apartment is on two levels, has wooden floors and charming wooden ceiling. On the ground floor the living area with entrance, living room with a sofa-bed, dining table and the full kitchen. On the first floor two rooms: one with a king size bed, the second with twin beds (which can be united). The bathroom with tub and shower is located on the ground floor. A toilet is also situated at the first floor. The heating is independent and adjustable at will, the air conditioning is on the first floor in the master bedroom, placed so as to reach the second room. The courtyard is in common with few other houses but it can be used to relax, to read or take a coffe. What more… It has been our home and we are still in love! ☺ For any further questions please be free to contact us and ask whatever you like about the house or the city! * * * * * * we recently received a review that describes the house and the area better than we could. We are therefore pleased to share Terese's words here (without taking anything away from the other beautiful reviews) because we think she has captured the mood and the feelings: " Serena's house is truly special. First of all, special is its location. You come to the modern part of the city of Florence - which means that there is public transport (tram, busses) nearby (or convenient access by your car), also there are supermarkets nearby. Than you discover that in that modern area, part of a small old street with typical southern double-storey houses, cozy little courtyards have survived. There is even an old lady in neighborhood who likes to take care of order and safety in that backyard. In a word, you get a very convenient and fast tram connection to the Old Town and to the railway station. (It is especially important if you want to go to other cities of Tuscany - San Gimignano, Pisa, Luca for example - for one day trip.) And when you return in the evening, you find a cozy, very Italian setting, a quiet street. Serena's small house is both exotically old-fashioned and has today obligatory amenities. I must definitely add that Serena is one of the best hostesses I have ever encountered. She constantly, but especially tactfully and subtly, took care of our well-being. We received very clear links, a lot of useful tips that help to explore Florence comfortably, even a pleasant and unexpected surprise - a bottle of Chianti left at the door one evening. (The neighbor old lady was waiting at the gates with the message, so we wouldn't miss that bottle!). If I ever come to Florence, I will want to stay at Serena's house again". Other things to note from January 1st 2018 the tourist tax is now included in Airbnb price! Registration Details IT048017C28QVDL7YB
