Registration- CIR:013203-CNI-00027 The space From the piazza, a glass-fronted entry-door with external shutters (perfect for luggage access!), opens to reveal a pristine bedroom offering quality queen-size mattress, high thread-count linens and non-allergenic pillows, with modern en-suite bathroom comprising glassed shower cabinet, toilet, vanity basin, glass-shelved alcove, and heated towel-rack hung with soft waffle towels. Internal or external stairs lead up to the living space encompassing a bright open-plan sitting room incorporating kitchen and dining area. The modern fully-fitted kitchen offers direct lake-views through double-glazed windows incorporating electronic blinds, dishwasher, glass-top induction hob, combi-oven with micro/convection facility, integrated fridge/freezer, tumble-washer, and large separate condenser-dryer. A back door opens out to a shaded (shared) outdoor space. In front of the property in Piazza Caprani, an al-fresco setting is ideal for relaxing at any time of the day, and especially in the evening with an aperitivo; alternatively join the locals and visit a lively bar. The piazza in front of the house offers direct water access for swimming; alternatively, just a few meters away on Via San Rocco, the popular beach in Sala offers sand for sunning, and sandy access to the Lake for swimming. Guest access Guests can easily access Sala by train from Malpensa or Linate to Como. From Como travel by local C10 (blue) bus or by taxi (€60-70). A taxi from Malpensa to Sala costs €130, from Linate €150 – we are happy to book transfers for you with English speaking driver. For Sala request the bus to stop at San Rocco outside the village Bakery where we are delighted to greet you upon arrival. C10 bus tickets are to be purchased before boarding the bus and are available at the coffee shop at the Como San Giovanni train station. The ticket for Sala is a tariff 6. By the bus stop on the main road you’ll discover Amalia's village bakery selling freshly baked bread daily, and general supplies. Also in the village, three caffé/bars (two with free Wi-Fi), and four restaurants open in season, all with al-fresco terraces, offering a varied choice from pizza to fine-dining. The bank is located at the entrance to Sala and provides the service of a Bancomat (ATM). Opposite you'll find an artisan butcher with delicatessen for your convenience. Other things to note General food items including fresh bread, meat and small goods, twice weekly vegetable van, wine, beer, soft drinks, bottled water, and ice creams, etc are all conveniently available in the village of Sala.
