Fell Cottage - Sleeps 4

Our charming cottage is located in a small, tranquil village 10 minutes from Lake Ullswater in the Lake District. The spacious 2 bedrooms will comfortably sleep 4 people who can enjoy the cozy log burner or private walled garden whatever the season. The cottage is a ideal base for adventures into the lakes, attending a wedding at the nearby Askham or Knipe Halls or if you are simply looking for a escape into the country! The space The cottage is located in Great Strickland, a small village beautifully positioned between the landscape of The Pennine and Lake District fells. Although the cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, there is a village pub and many other highly recommended eateries on our doorstep including the award winning Askham Hall and George & Dragon pub, Clifton. Penrith, our local market town is 5 miles away and features shops, bars and restaurants. We are in a ideal location for those attending weddings at nearby Askham Hall (5 minute drive) Knipe Hall, Morland Hall and further into the lakes. Guest access Private use of the cottage, front and rear gardens throughout your stay. Off road parking. Secure garage on request for bicycles. Other things to note We are located 2 miles from both Askham Hall and Morland Hall and nearby to Knipe Hall and the hotels in the lakes should you be visiting us for a wedding or special occasion. Supermarket home deliveries are available to the village. Note that as the nearest Supermarket is 5 miles away we therefore provide a complimentary continental breakfast pack which includes bread, croissants, cereals and butter and a small milk in the fridge for your convenience. There is no public transport serving the village. We will help where we can to advise re this or provide help where we can. Fuel is provided for the log burner. Charcoal and lighter fluid provided for the BBQ - perfect for the summer months. Bed linen, towels etc are all provided. Travel cot, baby bath etc available - guests usually provide their own cot bedding however we can provide some on request. Safety bed guards available for toddlers and stair gates can be erected also on request! Please note there is not a bath in the cottage. One additional guest can be accommodated on a camp bed if necessary at a small charge of £15 per night. Please ask for this in advance and this can be arranged.
