A bright and welcoming self catering apartment in the heart of Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Situated at the edge of the stunning 25,000 acre Glen Tanar estate and the Cairngorms National Park, this two bedroomed flat boasts a balcony with views to the mountains. Dog friendly (charges apply) and fully equipped, rural but only 5 minutes drive from the village of Aboyne, The property features an extended double level deck with a private hot tub, fire pit and barbecue. The space Tanar View is a bright and welcoming self catering apartment in a peaceful setting with uninterrupted views over Glen Tanar estate in Royal Deeside, Scotland yet only a five minute drive from the charming town of Aboyne, Aberdeenshire – voted one of the top ten places to live in the UK (The Times 2018). Located in the grounds of the original lumber mill to Glen Tanar estate, the south facing apartment sleeps four people accommodated in one double bedroom and one room with adult sized bunk beds. We can also provide a travel cot for babies. There is a modern shower room with Scottish Fine Soaps toiletries provided. The light and spacious living area is open plan with comfortable sofas in front of a log burning stove, a large dining table and a fully equipped kitchen. The apartment also has a Smart TV, Alexa and a CD player (with plenty of CDs to choose from). Free Wifi is also available. Al fresco dining on the south facing top deck allows you to enjoy the hills of Glen Tanar where red deer, roe deer, grouse, red squirrels, hares and a host of different birds are regular visitors. You might even spot a Golden Eagle! On the lower deck there is a private hot tub and fire pit where the only onlookers might be a Highland cow or two. Entrance to the 25000 acre Glen Tanar estate is just over the road where you can enjoy wonderful walks, runs and cycles. We have mountain bikes if you wish to borrow them. Linen, towels and cosy dressing gowns are provided. Also included in the price of your holiday is electricity (there are electric heaters throughout), logs and kindling. Tea, coffee etc provided. Well behaved, friendly dogs are welcome by arrangement (£30 per dog). A dog crate can be provided if required. Please note however that deer and livestock are around so dogs must be kept under control. Parking is directly outside the property. We do offer an EV charger - charged at current rates per KWH and payable on departure. Tanar View is strictly no smoking. Guest access As well as a fully equipped kitchen, guests have access to a freezer, washing machine and tumble drier and an area for storing fishing gear, skis or bikes.
