Lovely cottage by the seaside

Picturesque cottage in Flemish countryside. Stay at home and relax in the lovely garden or explore the environment, 15 minutes from the seaside, close to Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp. Great restaurants nearby, including the Siphon. The space The house is at the edge of a medieval village, overlooking the fields. It's a lovely cottage, small but comfortable and will easily accommodate 4, 6 is possible but because of the layout--do not expect too much privacy; there is one bedroom with a door, the other sleep areas are separate but open. If you're looking for sleek and modern, this is not the house for you; cozy, romantic and authentic: yes. Go for a bike ride in the fields--bikes can be rented close by-- stroll along the boulevard in Knokke (or visit the casino), visit Bruges, Ghent or Antwerp, eat in the nearby excellent restaurants or shop for local fish in the nearby village of Sluis and make your own meal. This cottage has been in my family for over 50 years and has been part of many people's cherished vacations. Guest access There's a lovely garden and a parking space in front across the street. Sheets and towels will be provided. Other things to note This is an old house built in a low-lying part of the country (below sea level) in a very rural environment. Because of this, during ongoing rainy weather it can smell a bit damp. Also there's an open staircase to the second floor with a stone floor underneath; people with small children may want to take note.
