* BEDROOM 2 CAN BE 1 x SUPERKING OR 2 x SINGLES * Gulls Perch is an 18th century Fishermans Cottage near the harbour in the picturesque harbour village of Portloe. It was originally built as two cottages c1795. With low beamed ceilings downstairs and a new log burner, we have retained the original features of the cottage, but given a contemporary twist featuring a modern shower room with rain forest shower & a new cottage style kitchen. PRIVATE PARKING FOR 2 CARS 75 YARDS AWAY Upstairs we have two large bedrooms & a shower room. Downstairs features a kitchen diner, living room and a utility room. Outside is a rear patio area with dining table and 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers. We also have a front terrace with a bench & stone table with 2 stools. - Featuring a new cottage kitchen and modern rain shower bathroom, with log burner and heating - Freesat TV, Free Superfast fibre broadband 75 mb download. - Dishwasher, Washing Machine & Dryer, Microwave, Toaster, Oven and Fridge Freezer. Our cottage is near the harbour, and has an outside space with table and chairs and sea views. There is plenty of room for kayaks and bikes at the rear of the property. PARKING is available behind the pub car park just 75 yards away. We have a designated parking space. Alternatively there is Portloe car park 350 yards away. The entire cottage and patios are gated and safe for dogs & children to wander round. Bedroom two can be configured as one Super King bed or Twin single beds. Up to 2 well behaved dogs allowed....please keep them off furniture and beds (or bring your own throws). Answers to popular questions: Fully stocked kitchen. Bed linen supplied. Cafetière supplied along with coffee, teabags, sugar and instant coffee. Log Burner with wood and kindling supplied for your first night (firelighters & matches provided)— November-March inc. Washing machine capsules and dishwasher tablets supplied. Cleaning items, tea towels & toilet rolls supplied. Plenty of coat hangers. Games, jigsaws and cards supplied, with a bookcase full of books. Major supermarkets - Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Asda all deliver to Portloe. Hairdryer provided. 1 bath towel & 1 hand towel per person. Iron & ironing board. Small freezer compartment in top of fridge. WE DO ALL OUR OWN CHANGEOVERS & CLEANING. The cottage has a thorough clean after each visit. We have guests from all over the world. Do please read our reviews. Guest access THE WHOLE COTTAGE is available to guests, as is the front terrace and rear patio area. We also have right of way through next door’s frontage....This is a flat level entrance from the road should you not like steps. Other things to note OUR COTTAGE was built in approximately 1795 - that is part of its unique charm. People of that era were shorter than today, so the beamed ceilings downstairs are low. (Anyone over 5’10” will need to bend their head downstairs). However we host repeat visitors who are taller. Please note: There are NO safety precautions or facilities for very small children ie stair gate or cupboard locks. We do not have a cot or high chair. Probably not suitable for those under 5.
