Description
Bridge Cottage is a spacious two-bedroom Exmoor cottage full of character, sleeping up to five guests, with riverside gardens in the heart of Withypool village. The space Upstairs there are two bedrooms, both enjoying views over the garden and river: one double with an antique brass bed, and a family room with a double and a single bed. A family bathroom with shower over the bath completes the upper floor. Downstairs you'll find a cosy living room with a large inglenook fireplace and wood-burning stove, a well-appointed farmhouse kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge, electric double cooker and gas hob, a handy utility room for wet boots and coats, and a downstairs WC. An exquisite sunroom with double patio doors opens directly onto the riverside garden and can also serve as an additional sleeping space with a sofa-bed, though maximum occupancy remains five guests. A travel cot and stair gate are available on request. Electricity, oil-fired central heating and a starter basket of logs for the wood-burner are included. Bed linen, duvets and towels are provided, though guests should bring their own beach towels for day trips or river use. A hairdryer, iron and ironing board are also supplied. Outside, the large enclosed garden runs down to the river, with access along the whole frontage (unfenced on the river side), perfect for paddling or fishing for trout and occasional salmon. Garden furniture and a barbecue are available for warmer months. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, along with an on-site EV charger. Dogs are welcome, up to two per booking, for a supplement of GBP 15 per dog, though they are not permitted on the furniture or upstairs; owners are asked to clean up after their pets in the garden. The property is suitable for children, though supervision is needed near the unfenced river. The cottage is not suitable for guests with restricted mobility or wheelchair users.
