Description
Welcome to Clos Majorelle, a 19th-century manor nestled in a verdant setting, just 10 minutes from Saint-Émilion. Characterful rooms, antique furniture, gourmet breakfasts and a table d'hôtes showcasing the finest flavours of the Bordeaux terroir. 35 minutes from Bordeaux and its Cité du Vin, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and 1.5 hours from the Bassin d'Arcachon for a day of oysters and white wine — the Bordeaux countryside in all its splendour. The space Clos Majorelle is a former 19th-century farmhouse, lovingly restored and decorated with passion. Antique furniture, family portraits and treasures collected on travels across the world — the interior décor immerses you in the fascinating world of a cabinet of curiosities. The two rooms, « La Sérénissime » with its Venetian inspiration and « Marie-Antoinette » with its 18th-century elegance, share a private bathroom with toilet, exclusively reserved for our guests. This is why we rent these two rooms exclusively to one family or close friends travelling together — parents and children, couples of friends — to guarantee your privacy and comfort in complete serenity. Would you like to rent just one room? The other will remain unoccupied, ensuring your absolute peace of mind. Guest access At Clos Majorelle, you are welcomed as friends of the house. The principal rooms of the manor are open to you: entrance hall, living room and dining room, where you can relax in a setting full of history and character. The 3,500 m² garden is freely accessible — garden lounges dotted here and there on the freshly cut grass, a shaded terrace... a green and serene space where you can unwind at your own pace. No kitchen is available, but our table d'hôtes and lovingly prepared gourmet breakfasts will be waiting for you each morning! During your stay Available and responsive, I reply to your messages as quickly as possible — before, during and after your stay. On your arrival, I personally welcome you at the door to greet you and show you around. Passionate about my region, I am delighted to share my favourite spots, hidden gems and tips to help you discover the very best of Saint-Émilion and the Bordeaux area. I then make sure to respect your privacy and tranquillity — here, you are at home! Other things to note To make your stay truly unforgettable, I can offer you, on request, a table d'hôtes celebrating the flavours of the local terroir : lamproie à la bordelaise, duck confit, garbure, daube with red wine and ceps, grilled meats over vine shoots... all accompanied by excellent local wines. The 3,500 m² garden and its terraces are at your disposal, with garden lounges dotted here and there — and for longer stays, a refrigerator is available for your picnics and drinks.
