A clean modern room in a 4 bed detached house free of clutter to help guests relax. Located in a quiet private cul-de-sac. No pets, carpets or curtains for allergy sufferers. A small room with a single bed (soft mattress), desk, chair, clothes rail with hangers, 3 large storage shelves, mirror, space for suitcases, bedside light, wifi. Full use of the shared kitchen, lounge & bathroom. Excellent transport links by road, rail & bus, easy parking. Several shops, takeaways & restaurants nearby The space The room is in a new build house that is quiet and uncluttered for a minimalist unfussy feel, with oak flooring and white walls. There is a shared bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and sink (as well as a separate downstairs toilet and sink). The room has a soft single bed, desk, open fronted wardrobe with coat hangers and shelves for clothes, mirror, bedside light, bedside table, wifi, space for suitcases and a hook for coats or bathrobes. It is south facing so bright during the day and double glazed, well insulated with adjustable central heating radiator for the winter Guest access There is a shared kitchen with a table, TV, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, electric oven, gas hob, kettle, patio doors to outside decking and rear garden. There is cupboard space for your own food, there are several shops nearby. The shared lounge has two sofas, a TV, quality music system, books on subjects such as art, photography, design, travel, local interest, psychology, architecture, science. No food or drink in the lounge please, you can take it to your room though. Cars are parked on the street (Tenth Avenue) which always has lots of spaces and is in a safe neighbourhood. There is a table outside on the decking, if you're a smoker then you can sit and smoke there During your stay I am normally within 20 minutes drive of the house and I'm there to tidy and check everything is ok on a regular basis but I'm not there 24 hours. I am generally quick to respond to any queries over airbnb messaging and can normally come over for any emergencies Other things to note The room is in a detached house that I like to keep as clean as possible. In choosing this house I used sound measuring equipment to try and find the quietest place in the city and this was the best I found. The flooring is oak so reducing dust and mites that are found in carpets. Similarly there are blackout blinds instead of curtains. Early or late checkin is fine sometimes, just check with me first.
