Bed and breakfast in Saint-Ciergues

Welcome to Saint Ciergues in a very quiet and authentic environment, at the gates of the National Forest Park and on the Via Francigena. Nature lovers will love the charming and peaceful Lac de la Mouche. Swimming, fishing, hiking or relaxing in the garden will enhance your stay. Those who love heritage will appreciate the typical village, the proximity of Langres, Auberive Abbey, the hanging gardens of Cohons and the basketry of Fayl Billot. Gastronomy: inn 100 m away The space 70 m² await you!! 60 years ago, the house was the village cheese factory (dairy cooperative). It is very old and with lots of charm: - exposed stones - beams, ceiling at 5.50 m - antique furniture and objects. Guests can rest and relax in a private living room with: - a wood-burning stove - an antique sofa - board games - a French pool table For your meals, you will have access to: - a round table for your breakfast which is included in the price or your packed meals - a fridge, microwave, mini-oven, kettle, Dulce Gusto coffee maker - tableware (your used dishes will be removed in the evening by your hostess to wash them in the family dishwasher) A restaurant is about 100 m from the house (reservation required). The Bathroom: - walk-in shower - private toilet - auxiliary radiator The Room: - spacious and comfortable: 18 m². - a small living room is set up for reading. - new Bultex bedding 140 x 190 cm. - an electric shutter with a button behind a curtain - TV - access to a small terrace - access to the garden A garden with unobstructed views of the valley, at the rear of the house, is accessible from the bedroom. Guests can relax, walk or eat there in the summer (garden table and chairs). Documentation about the area is also available. Guest access You have access to the central part of the house with a separate entrance. You can also access the garden from the back. You have everything you need to heat your dishes, but no sink or hot plate. Vehicles can park in front of the house, on a very quiet and safe street. Please note: the parking lot that is against the house belongs to the neighbor opposite and is therefore private. No parking is possible there. During your stay During your stay at my place, you will be independent to get in and out of the house and you will have a key for this. Depending on your arrival time, I will welcome you or let you enter independently (precise explanations given at the time of booking). I am committed to respecting your peace of mind. But I'll be happy to make myself available if you want information about the area and places to visit or just to chat. Looking forward to meeting you soon! Other things to note I don't allow pets. Presence of a cat in the living rooms. The house is non-smoking. There are 4 steps to get into the bedroom. It is therefore not wheelchair accessible. Breakfast included: bread, butter, homemade jams, orange juice, coffee or tea, milk. It is served: - during school term, on weekdays: served between 7:15 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. but you can take it at your convenience (hot drinks left in an isothermal pitcher and fresh products in the refrigerator) - during school holidays and weekends, between 8am and 9:30am.
