A perfect romantic retreat that was once an old farm workshop, the cottage is named after Sivel Woods, which are right outside your windows and has been flawlessly converted to present a luxury rural escape created just for two. Arrive at this beautiful cottage and sink straight into holiday life. We have combined the beauty of our 25 acres of woodland and paddocks with a modern, contemporary touch of Cornish luxury, so soak up the stunning views in your perfectly secluded own hot tub and enjoy. The space Our woodlands are a haven for wildlife, we have Roe deer, badgers, foxes, owls, buzzards and many varieties of woodland and garden birds. We are surrounded by open farmland so it is very peaceful and tranquil. We all know that the English weather is unpredictable but this location has a magic that will delight you if it is hot and sunny or wild and stormy. There is nothing better than snuggling up on the sofa in front of the roaring log burner and taking in all the natural beauty outside. Wifi is provided so you can research the best places to visit and plan your adventures, whether that is Dartmoor's rugged beauty in the distance or the wilds of Bodmin Moor with it's Cornish Mining Heritage less than a 5 minutes drive away there is plenty of breath-taking scenery to admire. The coastal fishing port of Looe is 12 miles to the south and a great starting point for ventures along the South West Coast Path. There are fantastic pubs and restaurants just a short drive away and of course amazing Cornish pasties are sold everywhere. Take in the picturesque fishing villages of Talland, Polperro and Polruan. If you are heading to Dartmoor for the day, visit the old granite town of Tavistock and stop on the way at our favourite Italian ice cream parlour in the pretty village of Calstock on the banks of the River Tamar. If you can't bear to leave the cottage, you don't have to! The kitchen is fully equipped for you to prepare fabulous meals together or take a walk through the beautiful woods and then relax in the hot tub. We provide everything you need from fluffy towels to heaps of logs, so come and share our piece of paradise, we look forward to welcoming you. Guest access Apart from your own private space immediately around the cottage you will be able to explore all woodland and pastures. There are wonderful walks all through the woods. Other things to note Our house, our other cottage and our Shepherd Hut are also part of the farm and are available to other guests, but all are completely separate from each other. Each of our properties have their own private hot tub. The hot tubs are emptied by 08.30 on the morning of your departure and you are requested to have left the property by 10.00.
