Description
Tranquil cottage set back from the clifftops in the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It’s a 20 minute stroll through fields to the Pembrokeshire coast path. With the cosiness of a blazing stove and beautiful views from four large upstairs windows, it’s an old characterful and inspiring worker’s, writer’s or artist’s retreat. If booking for 1-2 people, you’ll have the comfortable double + single bedrooms. If you book for 2 or more people you’ll have it all to yourselves. The space Iet-yr-Eithin, Welsh for 'Gorse Gate', is a cosy country cottage on the beautifully wild and rugged Strumble Head Peninsula in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Footpaths lead directly from the front door in all directions including directly onto the stunning Pembrokeshire Coastpath. The cottage has an open plan kitchen, dining and living room upstairs with beautiful views from all the windows. It’s a light, bright and sunny space in summer with a slate hallway, carpeted bedrooms, old wooden floors upstairs and a wood burning stove in the living room for colder autumn or winter months. There’s a wooden desk to work on as well as the large glass kitchen table. Or just sit by the fire and enjoy the space! It’s a perfect retreat for solo travellers, romantic getaways, families or groups of friends, including furry ones (1 well-behaved pet welcome). Guest access Guests can access all areas including the green spaces around the house. Parking is on National Park common land at the front. During your stay If we’re not around, there’ll be somebody on call should you need anything during your stay. Other things to note The house runs on green electricity with night storage heaters plus a log burner in the living room with logs provided. There’s no central heating so it feels different to a centrally heated house, but the bedroom heaters come on during the night and there’s electric blankets on all the beds. Eco products are provided. We leave you a list of recommended places to visit and to wine and dine. House photos by Karel Mujica Photography
