Highlands Cottage

Everyone is welcome, but please note that there is no smoking on the premises. While there are Tea and Coffee making facilities, the accommodation is not Self Catering. It is offered on a Bed and Breakfast basis only. Situated on a quiet country lane about 1 mile outside the town of Gorey in Co. Wexford, Highlands Cottage is a lovely little house set in mature gardens, with flowering bushes, trees, plants and lots of peace and quiet. There is no traffic noise, just the sounds of nature. The space In good weather, the garden is a suntrap, and extremely private. The bedrooms are bright and cheerful, and a good nights sleep is almost guaranteed, as long as you can deal with the complete absence of noise. You are likely to be woken in the morning by birdsong. The suite consists of two small double bedded rooms and a bathroom with shower. All three rooms are on their own corridor. Once you head down there and close the door, you are in your own quiet, private space. Our suite is ideal for 2 couples to stay, as it is nice and private, and each couple has their own bedroom. When it's time for breakfast, make your way to the kitchen. There you will find juice, cereal, fruit and yogurt. You can also help yourself to tea & coffee, various breads, toast and preserves. Guest access The guests have full access to the garden, and can make a pot of tea or cups of coffee if required in the kitchen. Please note it is not possible to cook meals in the kitchen. During your stay Lorraine has worked as a tourist officer in Gorey, and the nearby seaside resort town of Courtown. She has an extensive knowledge of what to do and where to go in the local area. Other things to note Please note there are no footpaths or lighting on the majority of the road to the house, so it is not a great walking route; you would be best advised to have a car.
