Beautifully renovated self contained granary

A relaxing and beautiful private rural hideaway . Our simply styled and cosy cottage sits some distance from our house, is fully self contained with a kitchen, own front door, self check in and a private pretty courtyard garden which backs onto our adjacent field. Ideal for dogs to exercise. It is close to stunning Cotswold way walks and great pubs and is well located for visits to many cotswold attractions. It has strong wifi also making it a tranquil place to work from home. The space A lovingly renovated old granary with lots of original character and comfort. The space is simply decorated warm and cozy, with great views from the comfy king size bed and private outside space to sit out. A beautiful rural setting yet only a short drive from the A38 and M5 make this a perfect spot to explore the many Cotswolds attractions A 19th century addition to a much older farm, the Red House sits among other beautiful farm buildings within the curtilage of our relaxed family home. The open plan space is simple and stylish for a relaxing stay. There is a fully equipped kitchen for you to prepare you own meals or there are plenty of great local eateries - we are very lucky to have an award winning pub in our village serving fantastic food . From the bedroom there are fabulous views of an ancient skyline and the cottage is surrounded by gardens and spills onto our field where sheep often graze in the summer. There is a good sized light and bright bathroom with a walk in shower. The wood burning stove in the open plan living room and electric radiators in all rooms make the Red house a warm and cosy space all year round. We will provide you with enough wood for a few fires and more wood is available in the shed for £8- honesty system. We will make are sure you have all the useful basics like washing up liquid, loo roll, shower Gel as well as kitchen essentials - Tea, fresh ground coffee, olive oil, salt and Pepper. If there is anything you have forgotten just let us know. Guests love the comfy King size bed with its quality cotton linen and feather and down duvet and pillows. There is a comfy double sofa bed and a camp bed available on request for an extra charge. If you enjoy cycling we have ample space for you to lock your bike up. Guests with dogs have loved this cottage, the field and lane is a great easy space to exercise your hound and the private courtyard is enclosed by hazel hurdles. However small dogs may be able to squeeze underneath. Please let us know if this might be a problem for you. Guest access There is parking space for up to two guest cars and more space in the field when the weather permits . Please check if you are bringing more than one car. There is also a lovely space around and behind the cottage where you can sit out and you are free to use the field (a stile at the end of the field leads onto a local walk, about an hour circuit coming back through the village). Other things to note If you require use of the Sofa bed or Camp bed for children please let us know so we can prepare the extra bedding Extra guests are £30 per night and can be booked into the Airbnb booking page . We welcome guests to bring a small - medium dog ( see house rules) please check this with us when you book and you can add your dog to the booking which will add a one off £10 extra per trip per dog . Noise wise, guests have reported that they find this spot very peaceful and relaxing. We are a family with normal comings and goings but the cottage is positioned in such a way that often we don't cross paths with our guests other times we enjoy a little chat if the opportunity arises. There is a small train line at the end of the field which you can catch partial sight of and hear - sometimes they whizz, sometimes they trundle. And there are some hens .
