Garden cottage in Parkhurst - on solar & gas

Our garden cottage is a few minutes walk from good restaurants on 4th Ave, and ideal for 1-3 people. With solar power, a gas stove, a well-equipped kitchen, good size bed(s), uncapped wifi, and good security, it is the perfect place for travellers in need of a place to relax and enjoy the city, and for people visiting Joburg for work or family who want to quietly and comfortably stay somewhere central with minimum interference from load shedding. The space Our sparkling clean cottage has three rooms. The main room is the living & bed room, with a queen size, extra length bed + king size duvet, extra blankets, a cupboard, coffee table, and quite comfortable sleeper couch. The second room is the kitchen with gas stove, fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee & tea, milk, muesli, cooking condiments, all necessary kitchen utensils, and a dining table. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink, and we provide towels, toilet paper, soap and shampoo. The cottage is in the back garden and you are free to enjoy this garden with its picnic table that we don't use. You can use our splash pool (in the front garden) and washing machine. In winter we provide a heater, in summer we can provide a fan. We have off-street parking for your car. Guest access The cottage & outdoor seating area next to the cottage are for your private use. You will share the property entrance, the pool & the washing machine with us. You can park on the premises: there is space for one, average size guest car, and it will be tandem parking with our car (which we don't use a lot). Other things to note We're happy with (semi-)long term stays! Contact us about options. We always clean the cottage to a high standard and we provide cleaning & dishwash materials, soap & disinfectant. In line with Airbnb rules and due to negative experiences, we only host people who make the reservation (or their partner/spouse) with whoever they bring along. You can't book for friends, colleagues or other family members without staying here yourself. The wifi is uncapped, fast, reliable & free of charge. The property has a wall, electric fencing, cameras & outside beams for good security. The property runs on solar power (with battery) and gas, which means that during load shedding you can still enjoy wifi, charge your phone, and cook; the only thing you won't be able to use is the oven. This is a non-smoking property: no smoking inside and outside on the property.
