D Canal House is a family owed brand new bungalow. The complex consists a main house and three smaller bungalows complimented with a comunal pool all nestled among lush vegetation of the remote back street of Mirissa and is surrounded by canals on all sides, yet it is only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Sunrise room is one of the three rooms in the Main House and consists of a Double Bedroom and an ensuite with a shower. It has air condition, fan , safety deposit box, and free wifi. The space The ground floor of the Main House has a back terrace overlooking the main canal leading to Mirissa Lake and a spacious reception/lounge area overlooking the communal pool Guest access The family took great care in blending the newly built buildings into the surroundings and in fact a lot of reconditioned furniture, apertures, clay roofing and intricate carvings were used to maintain the natural beauty of the surrounding areas while remaining true to the heritage of Sri Lanka. The washed terracotta color used on all the outside walls , gives the impression that these buildings have long been there and will become part and parcel of the landscaped tropical gardens once the vegetation establish itself.
