Our charming bunkhouse is a cozy getaway secluded on 40 acres of aspen and pine yet just 5 minutes from the town of Fairplay and 30 minutes from great dining and shopping in Breckenridge. Fly fishing, hunting, biking, rafting, hiking, skiing, and more all within an easy drive. You can take brisk morning walks through the property catching glimpses of the natural wildlife. We hope you have a chance to experience how a true mountain gateway can reenergize your spirit and soothe your soul. Lionhead Ranch is COMPLETELY OFF THE GRID AND USES SOLAR POWER. Therefore we ask that you be thoughtful about turning lights off, turning down thermostats when not there and using dishwasher and microwave during the day only. The lower level of the bunkhouse has small, fully furnished kitchen/dining area and full bath. Upper level loft has one queen bed and a twin over full bunk bed along with plenty of space to relax and hang out with a beautiful view of the mountains. Guests access the bunkhouse only but feel free to roam trails on the property. Your hosts, Ann & Kirk, will be available by text, phone and email or in person sometimes during your stay. Lionhead offers a place to relax and a central hub to enjoy many activities the Colorado Rockies have to offer including hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, mountain biking and white water rafting all within 45 minutes. In Fairplay, try Java Moose for coffee and a breakfast sandwich, Millonzi's for dinner or Salado for a great prickly pear margarita.
