Top floor 2 bedrooms, private bathroom. Downstairs kitchen, laundry. Close to parkland, schools, shopping, transit, universities. Ovo-lacto vegetarian household; no meat or fish in house. One week or more rental please. Our cleaning people come every second week and clean all of the house's bathrooms, and every second visit (ie, every month) clean the upper floor bedrooms and hallway. So the 'cleaning available during stay' shown in the amenities list means that the above cleaning is included. The space Lovely third floor space, private. Shared basement laundry and first floor kitchen. 2 others in this large house use the middle floor; our kids have left home! We keep the kitchen vegetarian and the back and front gardens natural and organic. No meat or fish permitted in the house; but eggs, milk, and other dairy products OK. Well kept up. Wi-Fi and wired connections. Although AirBnB lists pricing for one-day rentals we are really looking for longer terms such as 2-weekly and monthly. We show some accessibilty features such as an elevator (ie, chairlift) and accessible bathroom with grab bars etc; that is in a different area of the house and we can negotiate its use on an individual basis. We have security cameras facing three exterior doors i shared spaces but not in the guest area. If you have limited or no prior rental reviews we will need data on prior rental references, verification of local work or study, etc; you can send such documents to 'elgrip' at a mail server to be disclosed. Guest access You would have access to top floor, first floor, basement, front porch and rear yard. First floor has large kitchen/eating area; TV/lounge room; dining room; and side sunroom games/study annex. During your stay We both work so may not see you too much. But if there's a problem we can deal with it quickly since one of us works quite close by. We have FIOS fibre optic cable for internet and basic local TV service from our antenna in the roof. The internet speed is (plug-in) 80Mbps upload and download; and by Wi-Fi on the top floor is about 30Mbps/25Mbps down/upload; and about 40Mbps/35Mbps on the lower levels. Other things to note This is a pretty ideal area for kids and adults. The large Frick Park is right across the road and Colfax, Taylor Allderdice, Community Day schools are all within close walking distance, as are the Squirrel Hill shops with lots of restaurants and the local library. Buses on our road and nearby take you to UPMC, Pitt, CMU, and downtown very fast. In the local parks (Frick Park right here and Schenley Park a few blocks away) there are fabulous running trails and biking is also well-provided for in these parks and surrounding roads.
