Hillside House

Hillside House is our own home, an 8 year old architect designed contemporary space in a quiet neighbourhood of picturesque Somerset West. We have fantastic mountain views over our garden and a fabulous outside space for kids complete with pool, jungle gym, fire pit and vegetable garden. A great open plan light and liveable space, with 3 comfortable bedrooms - a really lovely family home - with great access to local beaches, winelands and only an hour from Cape Town. The space Our home was designed to maximise inside - out living so when our stacking doors are fully open you really feel like you're in the garden all the time, and as we have 3 kids our garden has lots of space for kids to roam. Our pool has a safety cover which is fitted permanently, only taken off for swimming. Because our garden is not 100% finished and we do have a lot of slopes and steps outside (great for developing balance!) a family with toddlers will need to keep an eye on their little ones. The main bedroom (3) has a queen size bed and an en-suite with walk in shower and bath. Bedroom 1 (double bed) also has an en-suite with walk in shower and there is a third bathroom outside the kids room with a bath. The kids bedroom (2) has 1 custom built and slightly unusual bunk bed and a separate single bed. We also have a camp cot that can be put into the kids bedroom if needed. The price displayed is to rent all 3 bedrooms. However if you only need bedrooms 1 and 2 please send me a message and we'll give you a discount. In this instance bedroom 3 (and it's en-suite) will be locked and inaccessible. Guest access You'll have full access to the main house, garage and the back garden. We have a completely separate cottage and office building at the front of our property which will be occupied so the cottage garden, deck and parking area are for exclusive use of cottage guests only. Our cottage guests do normally have access to our pool if they want to swim, but whilst the house is rented they are not allowed access to the back garden. Hence the only area that you share is the car gate into the property.
