Nestled on the edge of Mansfield, this spacious, light-filled country cottage and studio is the perfect retreat for families and friends to gather, relax and rejuvenate. Whether you're seeking a cosy home base with a wood-fuel fire to warm you after a busy day on the slopes of Mt Buller, a serene escape into nature to lose track of time, or a place to reconnect with loved ones, Wahroonga offers all this and more. The space *THE HOUSE* This country hideaway caters to both individuals and groups, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for all. Choose a cozy spot in the lounge by the fire during the winter months, or relax under the air conditioning to escape the summer heat. A separate rumpus lounge, also equipped with a split system, offers an ideal space for kids, teenagers, and adults to enjoy crafting, games, or a comfy TV room. A separate studio available for larger groups. The large kitchen table serves as the perfect gathering place to share stories and meals. Cooking for a large family or group is a delight in the expansive galley kitchen, featuring a 90cm gas oven, a large fridge, and ample bench space, all stocked with quality cooking equipment. The front verandah provides a peaceful spot to watch the world go by and listen to the birds and the wind. Each bedroom offers a private retreat with beautiful views of the garden or through the trees to the Blue Range. Kids have plenty of room to run around and explore, with a fenced backyard ensuring their safety. Two large outdoor tables provide ample seating, while the garden pergola is perfect for a relaxing lunch or evening BBQ. The long verandahs offer cool shelter in the summer and a warm, sunny spot for a leisurely breakfast in the winter. There is ample parking for cars, boats, and bikes. The wide front yard provides plenty of space for activities such as kicking a football, playing soccer, or practising basketball on the homemade court. *MANSFIELD MAGIC* Mansfield has something for everyone. Renowned for its excellent cafes and restaurants, boutique and quirky shopping, community cinema, hotels, galleries, markets, and festivals, there's always something interesting happening. Check the "What's On in Mansfield" calendar for events. Apart from the snow, kids can enjoy activities like the fabulous maze, paintball, mini-golf, the community cinema, skate park, horse-riding, tennis courts, playgrounds, bike riding, river walks, and swimming. *GATEWAY TO THE HIGH COUNTRY* Explore the wonders of the high country, known for its snow sports (Mt Buller and Mt Stirling) and water sports (lakes and rivers). Enjoy road and mountain biking, fishing, horse riding, 4WD adventures, golf, and tennis. The nearest boat ramp is just 20 minutes away, and it's only 30 minutes to the base of Mt Buller and Mt Stirling. Within a few hours' drive, you can explore remote and historic gold-mining towns, follow the trail of Ned Kelly and other bushrangers, or plan a 4WD visit to the famous Craig's Hut (a rebuilt copy of the original hut from "The Man from the Snowy River"). A leisurely drive will also lead you to great nearby village cafes and wineries. Guest access Guests can access the entire house and studio Strictly no access to the adjoining shed. For guests with accessibility requirements, wheelchair access to the house is available via a ramp from the back verandah Ther is free ample parking available on the property, able to accommodate multiple cars and boats. Other things to note The main house toilet is separate from the bathroom and this has been adequate for previous small groups that stay. Extra bathroom in Studio The verandah areas and cubby can be unsafe for young children so supervision is highly recommended. Our home is supplied by water tanks and uses a pressure pump so please be mindful of your water use. Please keep the screen doors closed during the summer months to avoid excess flies and insects entering the house. Please store and keep bikes outside the house. There is a strict limit of 8 guests as the house is on a septic system and overuse may cause damage however extra child ok
