Enjoy your own private beach for Kayaking, sunbathing, beach combing, crabbing and more! Bring your clubs and walk to the first hole or bring you Tennis racket and play a match with a friend. After exploring what the Cottage has to offer, come see why San Juan Island was named the “10 greatest US Adventure vacations” & Trip Adviser gave San Juan Island a Travelers Choice Award for “ #1 Island in the U.S & #4 in the WORLD!“ Our BEACHFRONT COTTAGE is only 1.8 miles from the Town Friday Harbor in which you can find shops, restaurants, pubs, theaters, tourist excursions and more! The house is located on two acres of beachfront property overlooking Griffin Bay on the East side of San Juan Island. The stairs to the beach have a sitting/view deck that you can enjoy a glass of wine and watch and listen to the wildlife. (Eagles, herons, seals, seagulls, and more!) Are you a Kayaker? You can launch your own Kayaks from Jackson beach and bring them right up on your own private beach. Some of the best Crabbing is located in Griffin bay. Are you a Chef at Heart? There is a fully equipped kitchen, six burner gas stove, butcher block, and dining table for six. The ocean side deck has plenty of seating and a propane Weber BBQ for all your local finds. Build a fire in the fire pit, stay up late and stare at the stars, listen to the waves crash the beach or read your favorite book in the lawn. After a full day of sightseeing, whale watching, or shopping you can relax Inside this cozy two bedroom cottage. The home has comfortable Queen Beds, LED “smart” TV’s, cable TV, free Wi-Fi, and Netflix Movies. We also stocked the cabinet with board games and puzzles for those windy/ rainy days. Consider leaving your car on the mainland and biking to the Cottage. Biking on San Juan Island is some of the best in the country; in fact Fox News named the Islands “The World’s top ten bike rides”. If you’re not a biker and decide to bring your car, there is plenty of parking. Riding the ferry from Anacortes to Friday harbor takes about 1.5 hrs and is the most relaxing sightseeing tour through the Islands. Orca whales, Harbor Porpoise, Harbor Seals, Eagles and more. When you book with us, we do everything we can to make your stay enjoyable. Guest access Guests have access to the beach and the complete cottage. Guests will also have access to the San Juan Golf and Country club located right across the street. Green fees and Tennis courts fees are required by club. There are two " Open" kayaks available to use along with a Row boat and crab pots. State Licenses are required for crabbing.
