The Wishbone Cottage is a private one-bedroom bungalow located in the heart of the historic district of Mount Dora, a quaint village over 140 years old that overlooks Lake Dora. Nestled between palm trees and birds of paradise and surrounded by a privacy fence which offers seclusion and, at the same time, convenience to Mount Dora's abundant dining, shopping, and festivities, the cottage is the guest house of a larger historic bungalow. Check in 4:30-6:30 Recently renovated and tastefully decorated, the cottage has a brand new queen size bed, a bathroom with shower, full kitchen with all new appliances and a coffee bar, a living area, and a private outdoor patio. Guests have one available parking space behind main house. During their stay, guests privately occupy the entire guest cottage. While I like to give my guests privacy during their stay please know that either my cohost Ginny or I are available to answer questions or offer assistance if needed throughout your stay. It is quiet and peaceful, but located just a short walk to downtown. Disney and other major theme parks are a 40-60 minute drive In walking distance to beautiful historic downtownMount Dora. If you are here for a weekend getaway I highly recommend parking your car in the driveway and walking or taking the free golf cart taxi service. The cottage is a 5 minute walk to downtown and the whole downtown is very walkable. A short drive from Tavares and Eustis and other great Lake County towns. The cottage and grounds are a smoke free environment as well as pet free. Parties are not permitted and any unregistered guest on premises must be approved by me in advance. Cleaning procedures include deep cleaning and sanitizing all bed and bath linens, as well as any high-touch surfaces. The air filter is cleaned between each guest and the cottage is naturally aired out as much as possible before each stay.
